Swimming
Both the Klamath and the Salmon rivers as well
as scores of other nearby creeks offer secluded, cool swimming spots to
explore.
Fishing
The wild salmon runs of this region are world famous,
and fisherman have been staying at Sandy Bar Cabins for decades. Now preservation
of indigenous Steelhead and Coho species is paramount. Takes are regulated
and annual fish counts continue to provide data on the tenuous state of
the salmon. But, anglers still come. They watch the annual spring and fall
migrations, catch and release, and fish for stocked species in area lakes.
